Community Commitment

We believe in sharing our talents with others. Our employees dedicated thousands of hours a year in volunteer activities in their community. As PTA members, sports coaches, Boy and Girl Scout Leaders, church volunteers or members of charity groups, our team members make a difference.

"I am honored to serve as the Race Director for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure - Pittsburgh Affiliate and have been in that role for 10 years. My responsibilities range from overseeing the 5k Run, Walk and Fun Walk courses, finish line, security, emergency medical services, communication, site restoration, setup, sound systems/requirements, water stations to crowd control, etc.

What began with a goal of attracting 1,000 participants in its first year has grown into an event to celebrate and remember special women in the lives of more than 36,000 individuals. As we continue to meet the changing needs of the community we serve, our PROMISE remains same: "To save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all and energizing science to find the cures."

Valerie in our Pittsburgh Accounting Department supports the Make A Wish Foundation through her Scrapbooking Club called "Comfy Croppers." Annually, "Scrap a Wish" is held where volunteers create Wish Scrap Books for the Make A Wish kids.
